Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) on a PRN basis to join the Cardiopulmonary team. The role includes assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating respiratory care for pediatric to geriatric patients.

Required: high school graduate, AMA approved respiratory school, and current license/certification as CRT/RRT with CPR. Prior experience preferred but not required; training will cover arterial blood gases and ventilator management.

Under the general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director, this person applies the Respiratory Care process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation). Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional Respiratory Care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Education

Licensure / Certification / Registration
