Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Respiratory Therapist CRT to join a full-service hospital team in West Houston. The role involves initiating and evaluating respiratory care, from bronchodilators and oxygen to invasive and non-invasive ventilator support across age groups.

Qualified candidates hold a TMB Respiratory Care Practitioner license, NBRC CRT certification, and required BCLS/ACLS/PALS credentials, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a TMB Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• CRT certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care is required.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, assesses, and evaluates respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest therapy, oxygen therapy, and ventilator care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and equipment operation.
• Cares for neonate to geriatric patients across settings.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Under general supervision initiates, assesses, and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive and invasive ventilator care. Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology as well as the design and operations of all respiratory therapy equipment. The RCP demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to neonates, infants, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Licensure- TMB respiratory care practitioner license required
• Special Qualifications- CRT through the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Certifications Required- BCLS, ACLS and PALS
• Experience- Previous experience in provision of hospital respiratory care services preferred
