Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our dedicated team. Under general supervision you will initiate and evaluate respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, oxygen therapy, and ventilator care for neonates to geriatrics.

Required licensure as a TMB Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC CRT, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Previous hospital experience preferred; we offer comprehensive benefits and flexible PRN scheduling.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a TMB respiratory care practitioner is required.
• CRT credential through NBRC is required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, assesses and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy.
• Administers bronchodilators, oxygen therapy and ventilation support across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Operates respiratory therapy equipment with attention to patient condition and safety.

Job Summary

Under general supervision initiates, assesses, and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive and invasive ventilator care. Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology as well as the design and operations of all respiratory therapy equipment. The RCP demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to neonates, infants, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Job Qualifications

• Licensure- TMB respiratory care practitioner license required
• Special Qualifications- CRT through the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Certifications Required- BCLS, ACLS and PALS
• Experience- Previous experience in provision of hospital respiratory care services preferred
