Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care to patients from neonatal to geriatric, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support and diagnostic testing. You will document clinical information and educate patients and co-workers under physician direction.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree, active Respiratory Therapist license, CPR/BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and NICU-specific NRP if assigned to NICU.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care aligned with age-specific needs.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of clinical procedures and certifications.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in related duties.
• Other duties as required.
