Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, competent care per physician orders, monitor ventilation, administer medications, assess patients, and contribute to care planning in a busy LTAC setting.

You will perform airway management, ABG analysis, weaning trials, chart documentation, educate patients and families, and participate in rounds with the multidisciplinary team; 1+ year experience preferred; qualifications include RCP license, ACLS, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved respiratory therapy program with required credentials.
• Current RT license in state of practice or eligibility per hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) and ACLS required upon hire or specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures per policy across hospital areas.
• Document and code respiratory care activities and care plans.
• Verify physician orders and manage ventilation and oxygen delivery.
• Perform airway management, suction, tracheostomy care and ABG sampling.
• Support weaning from mechanical ventilation and respiratory rounds.
