Job summary

Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory care across all hospital areas. You will monitor ventilation, administer medications, interpret ABG results, and support patient mobility and recovery plans.

You will verify orders, document care, and participate in rounds with the multidisciplinary team. The role requires BLS/ACLS, NBRC credentialing, and a strong focus on adult and geriatric care in a long-term acute setting.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapy education required for credentialing by NBRC.
• Current Respiratory Therapy license.
• CRT or RRT credential or equivalent.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care per policy and physician orders across the hospital.
• Document and chart all procedures; ensure accurate charge capture.
• Verify and initiate physician orders for Respiratory Care.
• Manage oxygen delivery devices and mechanical ventilation.
• Assist in airway management and intubation as needed.
• Perform ABG sampling and analysis; maintain equipment.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in rounds, teaching, and handoffs.
