Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
• NJ Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary disorders under physician prescription.
• Performs cardiopulmonary evaluation and teaches patients and families.
• Records patient data in the EMR (EPIC) and monitors devices.
• Manages life support systems and adjusts ventilators as needed.
• Ensures safety by following infection control policies and department procedures.
