Job summary

Bryan Health seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to initiate and monitor standard therapy, manage ventilators, and support patients across the lifespan. You will follow physician orders and protocols while documenting outcomes and collaborating with the care team.

Primary duties include airway management, rapid response participation, and education for patients and staff. Nebraska licensure and RRT credential are required, ACLS within six months, and PALS preferred for pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Care program and licensed in Nebraska.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and active.
• Experience with ventilator management and ABG interpretation preferred.
• Ability to assess, monitor, and adapt therapy across age groups.
• Strong communication and teamwork for fast-paced clinical settings.
• ACLS within six months and PALS preferred for Pediatrics/E.D.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor respiratory therapy per physician orders or protocols.
• Manage ventilator support, including non-invasive modalities as trained.
• Perform arterial phlebotomy and arterial line sampling as competency allows.
• Respond to rapid response teams and assist with airway management.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Maintain infection control and sterile equipment practices.
• Document therapy outcomes and participate in staff education.
