Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• NBRC-RRT registry.
• Ohio license (and CPR).
• Home Care: driver’s license required; MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies including MDI, nebulization, and ventilation; monitor patient; report results to physicians/nurses.
• Prepare for treatments by reviewing orders, gathering materials, and explaining procedures to patients.
• Maintain airway and, if applicable, assist with intubation per care-site policy.
• Perform invasive procedures such as suctioning and arterial blood gas sampling to provide diagnostic data.
• Respond to stat calls, codes or trauma; assist with transport of ventilated patients.
• Maintain safety, quality and efficiency as part of the High Reliability Organization framework.
