Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation seeks a Respiratory Therapist to administer diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to support patient breathing. The role evaluates respiratory care for appropriateness and effectiveness, communicates results to health care professionals, and may act as charge therapist in absence of management.

Responsibilities include preparing treatments, reviewing orders, maintaining airway management, and assisting with emergencies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (Required) in Respiratory Care or related field.
• NBRC-RRT registry/certification required; CPR certification.
• State license or permit to practice respiratory care in Ohio (Limited Permit acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapies including MDI, nebulization, chest therapy, optimization of ventilation and oxygen therapy; monitors patient responses and documents data.
• Performs assessments, follows orders from physicians/APPs, prepares treatments and equipment, and ensures patient safety.
• Maintains airway management, including artificial airways, and assists with emergency response and trauma procedures as needed.
