Job summary

Diley Ridge Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our day shift team in Ohio. The role requires knowledge of therapeutic respiratory care for adults and children, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care.

You will hold an Ohio license, maintain NBRC credentials, and obtain ACLS within one year. BLS is required; PALS is preferred. Collaboration with nurses and physicians is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of approved School for Respiratory Therapy leading to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Maintains current Ohio Respiratory Professional License to practice in the State of Ohio.
• Maintains a current National Board Respiratory Credential for those in a program after 7/1/2002.
• Clinical experience in adult & pediatric respiratory therapy procedures and related tasks.
• Self-direction, motivation, organizational skills, and leadership ability.
• Ability to work well with other healthcare professionals.
• ACLS required within one year; PALS preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• BLS healthcare provider, required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits Service Excellence and professional behavior.
• Perform basic therapeutic respiratory care including IPPB, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, ABG and related monitoring.
• Ventilator management and ACLS/Code Blue support.
• Discharge planning for respiratory needs and patient education.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and Physicians on patient management.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment and conduct QC as needed.
• Provide patient and family education relative to procedures.
