Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care through assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation for patients from infant to adult.

Responsibilities include mechanical ventilation, airway management, critical care transport, arterial blood gas puncture, medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, patient education and discharge planning. Schedule: rotating 12-hour shifts with weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care/therapy program.
• Must hold state licensure in appropriate state of practice upon hire or have applied and are waiting for licensure to award licensure not to exceed 30 days from date of hire.
• BCLS certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Performs all general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics on patients ages infant through adult.
• Includes mechanical ventilation, airway management, critical care transport, arterial blood gas puncture, medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, patient assessments and education.
