Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. You will initiate, monitor, and adjust therapies, including mechanical ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, and related procedures, while collaborating with the care team.

The role requires an RT degree, NBRC RRT credential (or eligibility within 90 days), and Michigan licensure with BLS. Hybrid work options and a robust benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• College graduate with a degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC or eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by Michigan Department of Community Health; required to be maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and perform neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care.
• Wean patients from continuous ventilator support devices including ventilator changes.
• Manage CPAP/BiPAP therapy and airway support as per care plans.
• Document care accurately in patient health records and participate in rounds.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and safety.
