Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory care, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with physicians to manage patient care. The role requires strong assessment, documentation, and instruction to patients and families.

The position supports a team-focused environment with opportunities for professional development and involvement in hospital-wide care programs.

Formación

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential required/preferred.
• Associate Degree required or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Administers respiratory care to patients as ordered by the physician.
• Conducts diagnostic procedures to evaluate need for and response to therapy.
• Assess patient appropriately, interpret results accurately, and suggest alternatives.
• Change modes of therapy as clinically indicated.
• Prioritize work assignments and manage time effectively.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and co‑workers; document by exception.
• Involve patient and significant others in care activities for education.
• Assist physicians in clinical management of patients and administer medications.
