Accendra Health in Charlottesville is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide hybrid work between the branch and patient visits. You will manage oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation setups, educate caregivers, and coordinate with physicians to support patient needs in the Charlottesville area.

This role offers a true hybrid work model, splitting time evenly between the branch and patient-facing care. It provides flexibility, predictable hours, and the opportunity to serve patients throughout the Charlottesville area while maintaining strong operational support from the branch.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid; 50% office, 50% remote/home visits.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Reimbursements: Mileage $0.70, parking, tolls.
Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.
Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and elevate concerns appropriately.
Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs,
Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
Performs other duties as required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active SC RT license.
Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.
Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license.
Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
Hold a current CPR Certification.
Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
