Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join West Jefferson Medical Center in the New Orleans area. You’ll manage ventilators, assist with airway procedures, and support high-acuity events while delivering respiratory therapies with a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
• Current BLS / CPR (AHA)
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification

Responsibilities

• Managing ventilators and adjusting settings based on patient needs
• Performing arterial punctures and assisting with airway management
• Supporting high-acuity situations like Code III responses
• Assisting with bronchoscopies and intubations
• Delivering therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry, and more)
• Monitoring equipment and ensuring safe, effective operation
• Educating patients and families so they feel informed and empowered
• Maintaining strict infection control and safety standards
• Collaborating with a team that values your insight and expertise
