Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an experienced team delivering advanced cardiopulmonary care. You will perform therapies, ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and patient education to support breathing and recovery.

The role emphasizes patient assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Requires AMA Respiratory Therapy Program completion, AZ license, RRT credential, and BLS certification; Neonatal

Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program.
Respiratory Care Practitioner license: AZ.
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy based on patient’s age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs.
Make recommendations for changes in specific modes of therapy.
Educates patients and arranges home respiratory care services and patient therapy follow-up assessments using language and materials appropriate for age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs.
Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs and continuing education programs.
Maintains established department policies, procedures and objectives, concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions and infection control.
