Job summary

La Paz Regional Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide cardiopulmonary care under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Director. The role requires licensure as CRT or RRT and completion of AMA-approved respiratory therapy education, with current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• PALS certification required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications current.
• Arizona license and/or 2 years’ experience preferred.

Job description

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Regulatory Requirements:

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure CRT or RRT.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification
• New graduates with Arizona license and or 2 years’ experience preferred

Language Skills:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills.

Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to use ABG machine, ventilators, IPPB, EKG, Holter Monitors, Vapotherm, Vest
• Ability to perform chest PT.
