Hospital for Special Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, plan, implement and document a goal-oriented program of respiratory therapy interventions. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to improve cardiopulmonary function and health, providing education to staff, patients and families as needed.

The role operates under the guidance of RRT. The position supports inpatient respiratory care, with a 24-hour weekly schedule during the second shift and requires strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current NBRC credentials.
• Licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• CPR Certification – BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Active Member of the AARC (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Provide evaluation and treatment of cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal and neurological impairments within CT scope and licensure.
• Coordinate patient care plans and education with patients and family.
• Maintain documentation per EMR guidelines and Joint Commission standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and team members and demonstrate professionalism.

Formation
