Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in Connecticut seeks a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, plan, implement and document cardiopulmonary care within an interdisciplinary team. You will educate staff, patients and families and supervise CRTs and student affiliations to ensure high standards of practice.

The role requires CT licensure, NBRC-recognized education, and CPR/BLS certification with potential involvement in ongoing professional development and patient discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care (NBRC recognized).
• Licensed by the State of Connecticut.
• CPR Certification – BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Active member of the AARC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document a goal-oriented respiratory therapy program.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team and educate staff, patients and families as needed.
• Supervise and serve as a resource to CRTs and student affiliations.
• Collaborate with the care team to meet patient outcomes and adherence to standards.
