Job summary

Accendra Health in Missouri is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide care in a branch setting and in patients’ homes within the Cape Girardeau area. You will perform oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups, educating patients and caregivers on safe use.

This role requires a MO RT license (IL license a plus) and a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. Expect a mix of office work and field visits with an on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active MO Respiratory Therapist license (IL license a plus or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work on-site with travel within defined territory and provide patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up and monitor oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs in collaboration with physicians and case managers.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop and coordinate with branch teams.
