Job summary

VITAS Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory services to enhance quality of life for patients in the program. You will assess respiratory status, participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and caregivers on respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities include timely documentation and contributing to staff education as part of a collaborative care approach.

Qualifications

• RRT with acute and home care field experience.
• CRTT: at least two years total, including one year acute and one year home care.
• Experience with respiratory home care equipment, compressors/gases, concentrators and liquid oxygen.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory services to improve quality of life for VITAS patients.
• Assess respiratory status and respond as directed by the interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in respiratory care procedures.
• Document care activities promptly and contribute to care plans.
