Job summary

Oklahoma State University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the team. The role involves setting up and operating diverse respiratory equipment, administering gases and medications, and providing therapy for patients with respiratory conditions.

You will respond to emergencies, analyze arterial blood gases, and educate staff and families on home respiratory equipment. Qualifications include an Oklahoma RT license, BLS certification, and 0–1 year of experience

Qualifications

• Valid RT Oklahoma License.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Administer respiratory gases and medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Respond to emergencies and monitor patients including arterial blood gas analysis.
• Inservice patients and families on home respiratory equipment use.
• Assist in transporting mechanically ventilated patients and ordering supplies as needed.
• Record verbal/telephone orders from physicians and act as a resource for staff.
