Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Valid Oklahoma RCP License or NBRC credential as appropriate
• BLS certification within two months of hire
• 0–6 months related experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and provide respiratory treatments
• Monitor patient progress and document care
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and team
• Administer nebulizers, MDI medications and oxygen therapy
• Assist with intubation, extubation and bronchoscopy procedures
• Respond to rapid-response events and Code Blue situations
• Transport and monitor respiratory patients as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry

Are you a Licensed Respiratory Therapist looking for an opportunity to grow your career in a hospital setting? We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respiratory Therapist to join a collaborative healthcare team providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in both critical and non-critical care settings.

What You' ll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess patient needs, provide respiratory treatments, monitor patient progress, and work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Administer nebulizer and metered-dose inhaler medications
• Provide oxygen, humidity, aerosol, and medical gas therapy
• Perform pulse oximetry, incentive spirometry, respiratory mechanics, and PEP therapy
• Provide chest physiotherapy and suctioning
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Monitor ventilator settings and patient response
• Assist with intubation, extubating, and bronchoscopy procedures
• Respond to Code Blue and rapid-response situations
• Verify physician orders and accurately document patient care
• Transport and monitor respiratory patients as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Participate in patient-care initiatives, quality improvement, and mentoring of new team members

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Licensure & Certification: Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, Provisional License, or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board CRT or RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• BLS certification within two months of hire
• Experience: 0-6 months of related experience
