Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team onsite in New York. You will manage and calibrate respiratory equipment, assist with invasive and noninvasive therapies, and perform patient assessments with nebulized medications under physician protocols.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care, NYS licensure, NBRC registration, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care is required.
• Preferred experience in Respiratory Care.
• In-depth knowledge of Respiratory Care equipment, applications, troubleshooting.
• Broad understanding of cardiopulmonary treatment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection, operation, maintenance, and calibration of respiratory equipment (oxygen, CPAP, ventilators, high-flow systems).
• Utilize invasive and noninvasive technologies to support treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Conduct patient assessments and administer medications via nebulizers.
• Follow MD-prescribed weaning protocols.
• Provide advanced CPR and mechanical ventilation for adults.

• Equipment Management:

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  Preferred Experience In Respiratory Care.
• Knowledge and Skills:
  Showcase in-depth knowledge of Respiratory Care equipment, encompassing applications, limitations, troubleshooting, and alternative courses of action.
• Knowledge and Skills:

• Licensure Requirements:
  Possess a current valid NYS license or certificate as a Respiratory Therapist.
