Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia seeks a Respiratory Therapist III to join our team. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends included.

You will deliver advanced respiratory care with expertise and compassion in a high-volume clinical setting. Inova is a national leader in safety, quality and patient experience, recognized as a top employer in the DC metro area and beyond.

Qualifications

• 2 years of critical care experience.
• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ACLS, PALS or NRP, plus an additional credential or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• BLS from American Heart Association on start.
• Licensed in Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services with high skill.
• Integrates knowledge and experience to promote optimum patient care.
• Uses standards and guidelines to deliver care and improve outcomes.
• Communicates with the healthcare team, patients, and families; may take on additional duties.
