Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia seeks a Respiratory Therapist III to join our team. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends included.

Qualifications

• 2 years of critical care experience.
• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ACLS, PALS or NRP, plus an additional credential or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• BLS from American Heart Association on start.
• Licensed in Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services with high skill.
• Integrates knowledge and experience to promote optimum patient care.
• Uses standards and guidelines to deliver care and improve outcomes.
• Communicates with the healthcare team, patients, and families; may take on additional duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Respiratory Therapist 3 administers advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services with a high level of skill and proficiency.
• Integrates knowledge, skills, and experience to promote optimum patient care.
• Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, and pathways for optimal care delivery.
• Incorporates data and information to continually improve care/practice to enhance outcomes is essential. Works effectively and appropriately while communicating with other healthcare team members, patients, and families.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• 2 Years of critical care experience
• Graduate of an accredited CoArc (The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) respiratory program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). One of the following (ACLS, PALS or NRP). In addition, must possess one of the following: an additional Advance Certification (ACLS, PALS or NRP) or an Advanced Credential (ACCS, AEC, NPS, RPFT, CPFT or SDS) or a relevant Bachelors Degree.
• BLS from AHA Upon Start
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist.
