Job summary

SSH-St. Francis and SSH-West Allis Hospital in Milwaukee are hiring Respiratory Therapists (RTs) for multiple shifts including Full-Time Days, Full-Time Nights, Part-Time Nights and Tier 2 PRN. The roles focus on ventilator management, airway maintenance and pulmonary assessment within a collaborative care team.

Required credentials include an active NBRC CRT or RRT and current state licensure, BLS; ACLS within 6 months; one year of related experience preferred. Sign-on bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential and current state licensure.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liberate patients from mechanical ventilation using RT protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal outcomes.
• Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients.
• Perform bronchoscopies.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.
