Job summary

Louisville Gardens in Louisville, OH is seeking Respiratory Therapists to join our team. The position runs 7a-7p with increased wages and a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include operating ventilators and therapy equipment, monitoring patient responses, assisting with breathing exercises, and maintaining accurate therapy charts. Requires completion of an approved respiratory therapy program and current state license.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.
• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
• Operates equipment to regulate treatment parameters and administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs under physician orders.
• Monitors patient vital signs and responses to therapy.
• Assists patients in performing breathing exercises.
• Observes equipment function and coordinates with physicians on adverse reactions.
• Maintains patient charts with therapy information.
• Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment for safety and efficiency; orders repairs when needed.
• Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.
