Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. The role involves delivering cardiopulmonary care per physician orders, performing diagnostic tests, and ensuring patient safety through close monitoring and timely documentation.

This is a full-time night position at Parkridge Medical Center. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care and state/NBRC-RRT credentials, with ACLS and BCLS completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS required within 30 days of start.
• Associate degree in respiratory care or equivalent.
• TN state license and NBRC-RRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to prescribed respiratory therapy per plan of care.
• Utilize oxygen delivery devices and related respiratory equipment.
• Administer prescribed meds and aerosol therapies.
• Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures and blood gas values.
• Monitor patient status and document response to treatment.
• Set up, operate, clean, sterilize and store respiratory therapy equipment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Registered Respiratory Therapist(RRT), you willbe responsible forproviding Cardiopulmonary care servicesin accordance withspecific physician orders, department policies and procedures. TheRRTadministers respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, performs diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.

What you will do in this role:?

• Deliverand assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilizevarious typesof oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks,tentsand incubators.
• Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
• Measure ventilatory volumes,pressuresand blood gas analysis.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
• Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• TN (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, and (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
