Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN shifts. You will provide cardiopulmonary care under physician orders, perform diagnostic tests, and support life-sustaining therapies in accordance with hospital policies.

The role requires an Associate Degree and validation of ACLS/BLS within 30 days of start date, with TN RRT/RCP credentials. Parkridge Medical Center offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Associate Degree required.
TN (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential required.

Responsibilities

Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents and incubators.
Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
Perform duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment
