Job description

Overview

Full-Time Nights - Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Parkridge East Hospital. 7pm-7am (Rotating weekends/holidays). Are you passionate about the patient experience? At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to caring for patients with purpose and integrity. We care like family!

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents and incubators.
• Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
• Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
• Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• TN (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services including orthopedics and robotic surgery, 24/7 Emergency Department, Accredited Chest Pain Center, obstetrical care, complex gynecological procedures, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU staff include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists who are on site at all times.
