The role requires BLS and RRT certifications and an active Illinois license, with at least 1 year of pediatric experience and proficiency in airway management, suctioning, nebulizers, oxygen therapy and ventilator management. The RT will float within scope as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations.

Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) – Nights – Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care for pediatric patients in an acute care hospital setting. The position requires at least one year of experience and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Respiratory Therapy (RRT).

Job Details

Position / Specialty: Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS)
Shift: 4x12-hour nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Schedule: 48 hours per week with weekend rotations every other weekend
Required Qualifications: BLS and RRT certifications; active Illinois license; at least 1 year of experience; experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings; proficiency in airway management devices, suctioning, nebulizer, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management; Cerner charting system experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I and II experience, hospital and community hospital experience, familiarity with bedside bronchs, and experience with pediatric emergency procedures.
Additional Responsibilities: Will float within scope as needed, including intra-departmental flexibility, and work as part of interdisciplinary teams supporting adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations.
Submission Requirements: All certifications and license information must be included at the time of submission. Candidate must understand compliance and orientation protocols, including completion of modules and virtual orientation on Day 1.
