Job description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in a hospital setting. The role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients in an intensive care unit environment. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team on night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license, minimum of 6 months current experience as an RT, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, and willingness to work Night shift.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or neonatal unit, Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification, and level 1 Trauma experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing procedures such as breathing treatments and ventilator assessments using equipment like Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators. The unit has 502 beds with a patient-to-staff ratio of 10:1, featuring a high-energy environment with a focus on critical care. The staff is experienced, and the unit may have recent technology enhancements.
