Job summary

Gilroy Healthcare Center is hiring a compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Santa Clara. The RT will provide respiratory care in line with physician orders and facility policies, supporting patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions in a post-acute setting.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, monitoring status, managing ventilators, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Current RT license in good standing (state-specific).
• RRT or CRT accepted.
• BLS required (ACLS preferred, if applicable).
• SNF, subacute, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments (neb treatments, oxygen therapy, trach care, suctioning, etc.).
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status.
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory therapies as needed.

Position Summary:
