Job summary

Pediatric Home Service in Richardson, Texas seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join a pediatric home health team. Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with weekends on call as determined by leadership. You will assess patients, set up equipment, educate families, and develop care plans tailored to each child.

Required CRT by NBR and current BLS certification; 1–2 years of pediatric RT experience. This role offers a stable environment and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Holds the following license: LRT.
• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs.
• Ensures communication and coordination of services care among all clinical services.
• Performs initial equipment setup and patient/family/caregiver education.
• Develops patient-specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy.
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy.
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally.
• Participates in day to day troubleshooting.
• Performs all on call activities, analyzes problems, formulates solutions and notifies manager on call as needed.
• Attend department and staff meetings as necessary.
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow up policy.

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist CRT by The National Board of Respiratory Care NBR
• Current Basic Life Support BLS certification required
• One to two years of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist
