Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency dedicated to helping children thrive at home and in their communities. We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Tampa area, with regular hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and on-call as determined by leadership.

Qualified candidates will hold CRT from NBRC, BLS certification, and have 1–2 years of pediatric RT experience. We offer PTO, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One to two years of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments, coordinating services among clinical teams.
• Performs initial equipment setup and patient/family/caregiver education.
• Develops patient-specific plans of care with goals and interventions.
• Reviews and revises care plans and ensures follow-up per policy.
• Ensures all required documentation is completed accurately within timelines.
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with care team members.
• Performs on-call activities, analyzes problems, and notifies on-call manager as needed.
• Attends department and staff meetings as necessary.
• Schedules patient visits per follow-up policy.

• Position: Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Weekends/On-call: as determined by leadership
• Requirements: holds the following license; LRT, BLS

THE POSITION:

• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs. Ensures communication and coordination of services /care among all clinical services.
• Performs initial equipment set-up and patient/family/caregiver education.
• Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions.
• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy.
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy.
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally.
• Participates in day to day troubleshooting. Performs all on-call activities, analyze problems, formulates solutions, and notifies manager on-call as needed.
• Attend department and staff meetings as necessary.
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One to two years of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS)
