Job summary

Prestige Care Center Of Plattsmouth is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care within our skilled nursing and long-term care community.

You will perform treatments, monitor residents, manage oxygen therapy, and communicate changes to the care team, ensuring safety and comfort. Certification requirements include CRT or RRT license and BLS; ACLS preferred, prior experience in skilled nursing a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care is preferred.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Assess and monitor resident respiratory status during routine treatments and rounds.
• Identify changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing and providers.
• Assist with management of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment.
• Monitor residents utilizing respiratory devices and therapies.
• Perform routing respiratory assessment including breath sounds, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness.
• Recognize early sign of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention.
