Qualifications

• Must hold a current CRT or RRT license in good standing.
• Must have current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Assess and monitor resident respiratory status during routine treatments and rounds.
• Identify changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing and providers.
• Assist with management of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment.
• Monitor residents utilizing respiratory devices and therapies.
• Perform routine respiratory assessments including breath sounds, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness.
• Recognize early signs of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention.
