Job summary

Shriner's Children's in Philadelphia seeks a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory care and life support to pediatric patients under physician supervision. You will assess patients before and after therapy, set up standard modalities, monitor equipment, and perform EKGs accurately according to policy.

The role requires an active RT license, BLS (and preferred PALS/ACLS), with compensation based on experience. This is a full-time on-site position within a pediatric care environment.

Qualifications

• RT license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PALS and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care and life support as prescribed by physician.
• Assesses patients before and after therapy.
• Sets up routine therapy modalities per policy and procedure.
• Sets up and monitors life support equipment.
• Performs EKGs on patients in a timely fashion.
• Performs POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation.
• Maintains licensing and accreditation per state and Joint Commission requirements.
