Job summary

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
• Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
• Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion.
• Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation.
• Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation.

Required Qualifications

• RT license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Respiratory Therapy 3 Years
• Respiratory care practitioner 1 Year
• Pediatric Critical Care
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.75-$52.12/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
