Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the Nights shift in Olympia Fields, IL. You will perform respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures under medical direction, with potential Lead RCP responsibilities during your shift.

The role requires an active state RCP license, NBRC credentials or eligibility, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ARC certifications. An associate or BS in respiratory care is preferred and acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• RRT NBRC certification or eligible within 3 months of hire.
• 2 years acute care experience preferred; advanced credentials valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Lead RCP duties possible during shift as assigned.
• Assess, plan, implement and document patient care across age groups.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red
• Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $37.00 to $49.80.
