Qualifications

Job description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care under physician and director guidance.

Responsibilities Include

• Administering oxygen and managing ventilators, CPAP, and airway devices.
• Assisting with intubation and airway maintenance.
• Performing CPR and life support procedures.
• Interpreting physician orders and administering medications.
• Using respiratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Removing bronchial secretions through various methods.
• Conducting pulmonary function tests and EKGs.
• Overseeing less experienced technicians when needed.
• Performing arterial punctures and evaluating therapy responses.
• Educating patients on medications and respiratory procedures.
• Adapting care to patients of all ages and working independently or supervising shifts.

Qualifications Include

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS, ACLS, and licensed RCP and RRT.
• Experience preferred, with sign-on bonuses offered based on tenure.
