Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide routine and critical respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric populations in Urbana, IL. The role involves evaluating respiratory status, administering therapies, and ensuring safe ventilator support.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, active RCP licensure, NBRC RRT registration, and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) with timely completion.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy and active licensure as an RCP.
• NBRC RRT certification maintained on record.
• Certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP) must be completed within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient respiratory status and administer therapy and medications.
• Set up and maintain oxygen, aerosol, and ventilator support.
• Perform blood gas analyses and chart in EMR.
• Train in endotracheal intubation and arterial line insertion; may assume charge roles.
• Maintain equipment and support patient transport teams.

Job description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs routine and critical respiratory care procedures under supervision, delivering care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Responsibilities include:

• evaluating patient respiratory status, administering therapy and medications, setting up and maintaining oxygen, aerosol, and ventilator support, and performing blood gas analyses.


• training in endotracheal intubation and arterial line insertion, with opportunities to assume charge roles.


• assessing patients, charting in EMR, maintaining equipment, and supporting transport teams.

Qualifications:

• an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, licensure as a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), and NBRC registration as an RRT.


• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required within specified timeframes.
