Job summary

Prestige-Care-Center-of-Nebraska-City is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory treatments and monitor residents under physician orders. The role involves assessing respiratory status, managing oxygen therapy, and ensuring effective device use in a skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CRT or RRT license in good standing and current BLS certification, with preferred experience in long-term care. ACLS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician
• Assess and monitor resident respiratory status during routine treatments and rounds
• Identify changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing and providers
• Assist with management of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment
• Monitor residents utilizing respiratory devices and therapies
• Perform routing respiratory assessment including breath sounds, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness
• Recognize early sign of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention
