Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Libertyville, IL. You will deliver respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric patients, with emphasis on critical care and comprehensive patient management.

The role requires BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and RRT/CRT certification, IL license, EPIC experience, and ability to work 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation. Training includes 1 day orientation and potential float rotations.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois license required.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and either RRT or CRT.
• 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Experience with Trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, ventilator management, ABG draws, and critical care procedures including spontaneous breathing trials.
• EPIC electronic health record experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across clinical settings.
• Perform ABG draws and manage ventilators.
• Utilize proning techniques and ECMO support as needed.
• Document care in EPIC and coordinate with unit supervisor.
• Operate and monitor PB840, PB980, Servo-U, Hamilton ventilators and Optiflow equipment.

Job Details

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 0 years (experience requirement: 0 years).
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from start date 11/09/2026 to end date 02/06/2027.
• Additional Responsibilities: Experience with Trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, ventilator management, ABG draws, and critical care procedures including spontaneous breathing trials. Must have EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Support on the Unit: Supervisor.
• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC; Ventilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, Hamilton; CPAP/BiPAP: V60s, ResMed, RemStar; Other equipment includes Optiflow.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Orientation: 1 day on the unit.
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts; weekend rotation every other; no on-call; no approved time off without prior approval.
• Additional notes: Scrub color is Charcoal Gray; parking is free.
