Travel experience is required. Vaccination documentation (flu and COVID-19) must be provided. EPIC is used for the EMR system, with possible float rotations.

Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) in a pediatric critical care setting. This role involves providing specialized respiratory therapy services in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The position is full-time, night shift, with a weekly schedule of 36 hours. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric acute care experience and possess current IL Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.

Job Details

Location: Local rate is within 50 miles from the facility and requires a minimum of 2+ years of Pediatric Critical Care (PICU/NICU/CCU) experience. Recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience within the current year is mandatory.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; BLS, PALS, NRP (for NICU assignments), and Illinois RRT license required; prior travel experience is required; at least 2 years of pediatric acute care RRT experience in PICU/NICU; recent ICU Pediatric RRT experience within the past year.
Additional Information: Must have flu and COVID-19 vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers in the packet at time of submission; orientation sessions are held every Monday; candidates will complete a skills checklist during IVS to assess fit; dress code is scrubs of any color, including kid-friendly options; EMR system is EPIC.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
