Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the Night Shift on a per diem basis. You will perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, assess and document patient care, and may lead the department when a supervisor is absent, adhering to hospital policies.

The role requires valid RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and preferred advanced credentials with 2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA/ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA/ARC upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Assess, plan, implement and document care with age/population considerations.
• May serve as Lead RCP during shift in absence of supervisor.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the RCP II is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.
