Job summary

Health System Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in New York State to deliver in-office and home-based respiratory care, including CPAP/BIPAP setup, oxygen titration, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is required.
• Respiratory Therapist license in the corresponding state is required.
• Minimum one year in the DME industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and NHV therapy in office and in patients' homes.
• Conduct ventilation checks and oxygen titration for patients on conserving devices.
• Provide instruction on equipment use and education on respiratory disease state.
• Set up neonatal to adult ventilators and monthly service checks with hospitals.
• Schedule all patient equipment set ups, follow ups, mask refits, etc.
• Keep detailed call logs of all communication and appointments.

About the Position

• Set patients up on CPAP, BIPAP, and NHV therapy in office and in their homes.
• Conduct ventilation checks, oxygen titration/evaluation for O2 patients on conserving devices and POC’s.
• Provide instruction on use of equipment and education on respiratory disease state.
• Set up neonatal to adult patients on ventilators and performing monthly service checks while coordinating with local hospitals and referrals.
• Schedule all patient equipment set ups, follow ups, mask refits, etc.
• Keep detailed call logs of all phone communication, phone call attempts, and scheduled appointments.
• Instruct patients thoroughly on use of all Respiratory Equipment.
• Enter patient data into CPAP compliance tracking program.
• Follow up on patient progress, work to increase patient compliance.

What You Have to Offer

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program, required.
• Respiratory Therapist license in the corresponding state, required.

• One year of experience in the DME industry, preferred.
• Valid and clean driver’s license.

Compensation

• $45.00 - $53.00 per hour, compensation subject to vary based on schedule and geographical area.
