Job summary

Health System Services in New York is seeking a Per-Diem Respiratory Therapist to support patient care with flexible shifts and a focus on quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Respiratory Therapist license in the corresponding state.

• Valid and clean driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Set patients up on CPAP, BIPAP, and NHV therapy in office and at home.
• Conduct ventilation checks and oxygen titration for O2 patients.
• Provide instruction on equipment use and disease-state education.
• Set up ventilations for neonatal to adult patients and perform monthly service checks.
• Schedule all patient equipment set ups, follow ups, mask refits.
• Maintain detailed call logs and appointment records.
• Instruct patients thoroughly on respiratory equipment use.
• Enter patient data into CPAP compliance tracking program.
• Follow up on patient progress and improve compliance.

About the Position

• Set patients up on CPAP, BIPAP, and NHV therapy in office and in their homes.
• Conduct ventilation checks, oxygen titration/evaluation for O2 patients on conserving devices and POC’s.
• Provide instruction on use of equipment and education on respiratory disease state.
• Set up neonatal to adult patients on ventilators and performing monthly service checks while coordinating with local hospitals and referrals.
• Schedule all patient equipment set ups, follow ups, mask refits, etc.
• Keep detailed call logs of all phone communication, phone call attempts, and scheduled appointments.
• Instruct patients thoroughly on use of all Respiratory Equipment.
• Enter patient data into CPAP compliance tracking program.
• Follow up on patient progress, work to increase patient compliance.

What You Have to Offer

Compensation

• $36.00 - $43.00 per hour, dependent on experience and geographical area
